Why do you compare yourself?
It’s easy to make comparisons. You can scroll through Instagram and see that stranger with a smile on their face, traveling from one country to another every month and a closet of clothes that make your own look like limp lettuce. But you can also look on Facebook at the lives of people you do know or once knew. They seem to have their lives together, a house, baby, engaged, married and a great job. They’re really making something of their lives. It feels like yesterday that we were writing essays in English class.
It’s easy to make comparisons. It rarely ever feels good. Often we don’t actually want what other people have, we just see that they have more than us. So, instead of looking at the life of someone else take a look at your own.
